Evaluation my blogging experience

At first, I thought that it would be very simple and doesn't really matter, because I've never had a writing blog before but with time I learned that my ability to write was improving a lot by writing every post, and that surprised me. I also learned words that served me in my caarer.

In this experience, I have developed my writing skills.I think that writing different entries abput different items, I could interact with new words and manage a more formal language; also I can now create more fluent sentences about those different items.

I think that in the future, the class should’ve been more participatory. I mean, talking about the same things we write, but in the class, so the procees would be more complete and we could really include the contents in our daily vocabulary.

I would like that we could write more about the things we like in our careers, to complement and learn about what really like to do. For example in my case, as a journalist, I would like to write some investigations, notes. or chronicles in english because that would help me a lot. Or maybe write about was happening in our country and our opinions about different conflicst would really help a future jounalist.

Reflections over the strike

I think that our country is in a deep crisis because of a lot of conflicts that affect us and the State has not done anything. The demannds of this strike about the education is the same that we has been fighting the last years. But is not the only one. In this year, the causes of the strike that are being discussed are many. We have seen attempts against our environment like the one in Chiloé about the "salmoneras". There is a labor reform that doesn’t take into account workers. Our ethernal conflict about the education and the work of the press, that doesn't really inform people.
Today, traditonal media criminilazed the student movement, and they communicate only what suits their editorial.

Obviously, we have to fight against all these conflicts because affects us. Is our responsability to question the mechanism we are using. Sadly, the movement has lost the attendance of the students to the activities in the strike. The quorum in the assemblies is hard to reach, and its seems like the strike is getting worn.

Today, the strikes don’t really represent any pressure for the authorities. That is why I think that we have to search new forms of fight. I actively participated int his strike and I think that some instances like triestamental cloister, interventions in the streets, informing people on the buses like the "Pregón Callejero" has been doing, have to win weight, but for this, we need people here in the university actively participating.

A subject I've enjoyed studying this semester

The subject I've enyojed the most this semester was "chronicle and interview", with the teacher Ximena Poo. In this class, we learn about writing and producing different journalistic genres like chronicle, briefing notes, interviews, editorial, etc. This process is not only about writing, because before the process of making a 'text', it requires a work of thorough research with various types of sources.

Part of the contents we have seen its the different journalist genres and and how those genres fulfill the role of informing. We also have read a lot of different texts to understand even more every categorie.

I think I like this subject because is the one that brings you closer to real journalism. I like to go to the streets, interviewing people and investigate differents problems in our society, and finally make a content about it to inform and generate opinion in society, and this subject is all about that.

A person that I admire

Pedro Lemebel was a writer, visual artist and chronicler. He was born on November 21, 1952. Santiago de Chile and died on January 23, 2015, at 62 years of age.

After graduating in visual arts from the University of Chile, he was a teacher at two peripheral schools, but he was fired from both, apparently because of his homosexual appearance. After that, he dedicated to literature.

His work stands out for his radical questioning of the neoliberal society, where it reproduces a repressive ideology; and following its practice of structuring dualisms of excluding normal.
The most original of his work is in the vehemence of his exercise of "difference", or "the marginalized". For this, In his chronicles, he makes a critical of the culture of dictatorship and the hatred against homosexuality.

He also dedicated to the artistic performance, to form with the poet Francisco Casas, "Las Yeguas del Apocalipsis", which it was characterized by surprisingly barging in book launches and art exhibitions, becoming a counterculture myth.
In 1995 he published his first collection of stories, "La esquina es mi corazón" and created a program on Radio Tierra, called "Cancionero". in the following years he published "Loco afán" y "Perlas y cicatrices".

I admire him because he was a transgressive artist and his work was able to capture a critique of the model that governs us today as a society. His writing registration It was a mixture of metaphorical as literal, as hyperbolic as social, and whose fusion is an emotional poetic acute.

A meal I like to cook for myself

Well, I'm not very good at cooking and I don't like to do it. I feel like it takes such a long time to prepare something that you eat so fast and I'm a lazy person so... Anyway if I have to cook for myself, I would do something simple but (i think) delicious: noodles with tuna croquettes. My older sister taught me how to prepare it a few years ago, she said to me something like: "You have to learn how to cook or you will die when you live alone".

It's easy to cook: first you have to make a stir-fry of onion and garlic in a pan. Then you need to mix two eggs with six tablespoons of flour, the jar of tuna and cilantro to taste. Add this preparation to the stir-fry and mix it. I prefer to accompany it with noodles, but you can eat it with rice, mashed potatoes, or just a salad.

PS. But if you are a lazy person that don't like to cook like me, you can simply make some fries. It never fails.
